Not Your Average Building Block Set
This set came with both painted wooden blocks and the knobby, comb like structures used to build with the blocks. The knobby structures fit snuggly over the wooden shapes, which makes it easy to interlock pieces and also doubles as a teaching tool to teach about shape-matching.It really is a unique take on building blocks which my children enjoyed so much. My 2 year old could play with this set for a long while without getting bored, so that is a major plus.My 5 year old loves the novelty of interlocking the knobby pieces and creating structures.I love that it comes in a neat carrying case with a handle for easy toting. The lid of the container doubles as a shape-sorter, although it is very flimsy and I could see this breaking easily if kids are playing with little adult supervision. One thing to note; there is no trapezoid opening in the lid, but the trapezoid shape can fit in the square hole (which doesn’t really foster shape matching).I would like to see more knobby base pieces to build on – I only counted 2 in my set which isn’t really enough, especially if you have more than one child. Your kids will definitely want to build on top of a table or hard floor, as building on carpet is near impossible. Also, and very importantly: if you have teething age babies, this toy is not for them as some of the pieces are small enough to choke on.Although there are a few things that need improving, I liked this set and would recommend it to anyone with little builders. My kids don’t even notice any of the cons I’ve stated in this review and they think the world of this set, so there’s that.I can almost guarantee that your kids will love this set and although its not perfect, it will help with learning shapes, colors and motor skills and is well worth the price as an added bonus to your block collection. One last thing, DO NOT STEP ON THESE. Just trust me on this one.

This is a gorgeous set that reflects the quality put into kids products in Europe. We need more like this in the US! This little farm play set is easy for little hands to use for imaginative play. The edges are rounded, so safer than corners. The bristles help the pieces stick together really easily for little hands. Beautiful set!

Entertainment is okay but some of the circle figures are too small to fit with the connectors so like the cheetah head which is I think essential for building a cheetah to play with and a circular sun too won't fit in the connectors they just slip through

I got thesd for my son for his birthday so I haven't fully opened them yet. However, I think this is a very cute idea. I love the bright and fun colors. I like the size and shapes of the blocks. I think some of them are a little on the small side for my teething baby but I think they will make a great addition to his block collection. My favorite part of this set is actually the plastic pieces with the little sticks at the end, I don't know what to call them, but they are really fun to play with and build with even for me. I think it is unique compared to just the traditional block design and it makes this package extra special and stand out from all the rest.bthe plastic is a little bit flimsy on it, but I don't think it should be too much of an issue, it will definitely hurt to walk on though😂 which is why I like the baggy that they gave for those pieces to keep them all in a nice clean organized space when done playing with them. I think my son is really going to enjoy this toy and he will play with them for years and years to come.

    What I like:

I buy a lot of toys for my grandkids playroom at my house and this set has really been a good value.
I enjoy playing along with the kids.
Imagination at work with so many things to learn and role play.
Has held up awesome after a year of regular play.

Circular spikey pieces are too big for the circular blocks. Returned for this reason. Otherwise it was just ok. Not wowed.

What can make blocks more fun? By pushing the block into the corresponding plastic shapes and then making animals with them. See my picture of the animal we made. I got this for my younger daughter but my 7yr old had fun building and making different combos of animals with this. I just feel it needs more pieces so I might get another set to go with it.

My little guys all love these blocks. They love playing with wooden blocks, but this set has some more interesting shapes and bright colors that their standard wooden blocks don't have. They like them.
